Report generation from database

I would like to generate reports from my (financial/crm) data in an PostgreSQL database. The report generator should be able to work within my Java desktop application (not J2EE server) and be capable of showing graphs and pie-charts and print them and create PDF documents. It should not have a per-seat client license and rather be free to use or even open-source.

Does anybody know such a report component for Java? I will reward the points to the best-fitting solution (i.e. the one I finally decide to use) ;-)

Thanks in advance,
