Reading data from serial port using Visual Basic 6.0

I'm working on the data acquisition project in which i'm supposed to acquire biosignals by means of dedicated hardware through the serial port. can i get the relative information or the sample code help for the above mentioned work

In addition to that i'm planning to save the data received from serial port in a file which could be used later for some other purposes.

i need this help as early as possible

You can use the MSComm control ... here a tutorial
