How can I use the visual data tools in .NET to connect orcale 8i and create new tables. I can connect and view the tables, functions, etc ... but when I try to create a table I get an error saying that the backend version is not supported

Ronad,
I went to the link you supplied and at the bottom they did suggest a work around which I'm downloading now from Oracle. So maybe that will work.

I'm not sure why you thought that link would work I'm not having any problems in code executing SQL ???
