Master and Child ADO tables joined by a Unicode field

Hi,
Does anybody know how to join two ADO tables with a Unicode field?
The child table cannot display the related records when it is joined to the master table.
I think the problem lies with using the MasterFields property of the ADOTable because it supports only string and not widestring.
Is there other way to join two ADO tables without using the MasterFields property?

listening -> no experience with Unicode

maybe you could setup a own relationship,
without using the master... - properties
(just by using the afterscroll-event of the masterdataset,
and then filtering or changing the where-clause on the childdataset
in this event)

Hi,
Unicode is also quite new to me.  I have only started to work with it for just a couple of weeks.
Your suggestion to setup own relationship, using the afterscroll event and where clause is brillant!
Filter property is the same as masterfields property because it is meant for string and not widestring.
Thanks! :)
