I work for a small company. We have 12 users needing internet access. We have 2 VPN Tunnels (PPTP) connected to branch offices for remote support. Plus we have a couple remote users connecting via VPN. I want to know if the Pix 501 firewall will be able to handled our needs and if there is anyone out there with a similiar setup using a Pix 501 Firewall?

I would use a 506E, a lil more horsepower and ups the amount of concurrent vpn sessions for future use.

Agree with rolltide bama
The 501 was designed as a SOHO for 5-10 users max. There simply is not enough processing power to handle what you are asking of it and still maintain performance.
506e will easily handle up to 25 users plus the "e" stands for Enhanced VPN processing..
