Trying to add a domain group to the local "Power Users" group gives the following error:

Processing of object domain users failed with the following error:
The RPC server is unavailable

Any ideas.

I can ping the server, i can do an nslookup using the server.

Thanks
Andrew

Thanks.
The server and client runs NAI's VirusScan Enterprise 7 updated daily but has never found anything but I will check.

The Blaster Tools have not found anything.
I have tried the trouble shooters, it suggests running "net start rpcss" which returns "RPC service already running".

There is nothing strange in the Hosts file.

Could it  be a problem with the DNS service?

Solved:

The connection was through a firewall that was blocking port 135.
