Hi.. I want to draw in variables from an asp page, then using these variables, open a text file.
seems simple enough, right?

sadly, it's not.

the filename I wish to open is determined by a variable that I draw from the database.

ie:

filename="s"+sid+"q"+questionid+"l"+lid+".txt";

but the sid, questionid and lid are variables drawn from a database and the only way i can reference them is to use them in a dynamic text box. thus,
the filename variable becomes sql.txt which is brassin me right off.. arrgghh!!

could any one help please?

Hi, i don't know what you mean by you can only reference the variables using a text box - i don't agree, are you sure you are pulling in your variables correctly?
