Laptop with INtel PROset 2200bg drops connection every 10 minutes, about to shoot my laptop
I have a netgear wgr614 wireless router. And two notebooks with Centrino technology. All of my wired desktops work fine on the router and never drop connection. I have heard of problems from intels wireless technology. I have tried most of the basic stuff. Does anyone know of a solution to get the damn notebook to connect to my router and stay connected. RIght now the wireless settings on the router are all set default (no WEP and so forth). I know this probably isnt enough info for a clear answer so if anyone would please respond and just let me know what you need to know, i will reply promptly.

THanks for the input Fatal. I finally figured it out yesterday, turned out I just had to put everyones MAC address in the router and setup an access list. All has been well ever since, not one drop in connection, unfortunatly I cant use WEP encryption, kills the conncetion everytime. So i guess this question can be removed from the forum.
Ahh.. MAC address filtering, eh..?? Good one..

If you are using Intel Proset with your wireless, try disable the Windows Wireless Zero Configuration service in Services. We had some problems using Intel wireless with Proset disabled this and everything worked fine. WEP too!
