Windows 2000 laptop and Radeon Mobility Omega driver

  Help,

I have a Dell Inspiron 5150 that came with Windows XP home,  Since this is a business laptop
the decision was made to load Win2k pro for the added business functions.  The problem is that
Dell doesn't support Win2k on this machine and their wasn't a  video driver for the Radeon Mobility
9000 card.  I have installed a Omega driver which worked great for over 9 months now I
receive this error when I try to play any DVD movie.

Stop: 0X0000001E (0xC0000005, 0xBD8235A9, 0x00000001, 0x00000000)
Address BD8235A9 base at BD787000, ati3d2ag.dll

The machiine reboots everytime this occurs and I disabled the reboot when critical error occurs
to get to see the actual error message.

Thank you in advance for your effort.

James

  Hey Hitanykey,
Try updating the video driver to the most current release.  To find out what driver
version you have Right Click on My Computer, select Manage, Device Manager, and
Look under the Display Adapters, Select Properties on the one listed and the
driver version should be listed there.  You can download the latest drivers at
this link http://www.driverheaven.net/downloads/index4.htm.

Good Luck.
