Mozilla (firefox) bookmarklet to open a new window with a local page

Using a bookmarklet, I am trying to open a window with an htm file that is on my local drive.

When I try this script nothing happens...
javascript: void(window.open('file:///D:/Internet/Pages/page.htm',1,'outerWidth=330,outerHeight=315,screenX=400,screenY=320'))
(yes, the path is correct)

I know that everything is correct except the reference to the local file because if I substitute an internet site using http:// etc  the window opens correctly. Is there some other way to reference a local hard drive file?
Thanks

why not drag the file into firefox then bookmark it?

I have problems with mozilla-based programs and accessing the local drive too... So I just do what I've said above!

oh, if you're trying to reference a page from the current one, do a relative link like "../../otherdir/index.html"
