IP communication.....?
At the office several computers share an internet connection but the machines are not properly configured to from a network as such. Short of getting everyone on the same page with some kind of instant messenger program, is there a way for me to send them messages, whether individually or as a group, by using something like net send or something like it? How could that work without having to keep track of user names? I'm running the router so assigned DHCP IPs are quite easy for me to remember. Is that possible? The machines are not all on the same domain/workgroup, as I mentioned before there's no proper network. Is this kind of communication possible with only this kind of simple internet connection sharing? Thanks.
