converting an EXE project to a DLL project

I want to convert my Visual C++.NET project from making an EXE file to making a DLL (with exported functions).

In the Project >> <my project name> Properties... menu item, in the "General" section there's a "Configuration Type" ring that I can change from "Application (.exe)" to "Dynamic Library (.dll)", but no DLL is ever produced in my project's directory or subdirectories.

How to I make my project generate a DLL?

Create new Dll project and move code to it. Dll requires some code which is not presened in exe (DllMain function), and exe contains code which is not needed in Dll (main or WinMain function). There are a lot of differencies in the project settings for Dll and exe, so creating of new project is simplest way.
