Hello, experts!  Where can I get a Cornea MP503 power adapter?  It must convert 120Hz AC to 12.5V DC, 2.5A.

Thank you,

You can most likely find a suitable unit here if you match up the connector size and polarity.

Is that all that the list is?  All I found were 12, 16.5, and 18V adapters.  Let's suppose that I get a 12V adapter - would the missing .5V make a difference?

You can look at it like this say you have a portable radio that uses 8 AA bateries at 1.5v each =12v
And then you decide to get some rechargable batteries 8 AA at 1.2v each =

So, a 12V adapter will do?  I'm mainly worried about it because I want the LCD monitor to work perfectly, and .5V seemed like a big difference to me.  Anyway, how do I figure out which power adapter to get?  Do I measure the power adapter socket on the monitor and figure out the diamater in mm?

Yes or take the monitor to say like radio shack and see what size fits it.
Make sure that the polarity matches +or- at the tip if this is wrong then you will have a junk monitor.
You may want to call and see if the 12v. is actual or just what they call it.

I have seen 12v. adapters that in true life are 13.8v yet still called a 12v.

How about one of those universal adapters with 10 plugs at one end and a voltage control switch at the other?  I have one of those that can change the polarity from +>- to -<+ and back, and it allows 12V.  On a cylindrical tip, which part is the +, and which is the -?  Can I just use a volt ohm milliameter to test the voltage?

I don't think that the universal adapter will have the amperage that you need 2.5A min. It probably is rated in milliamps like 800mA or so? You could use the tips to size it although.
Dose the monitor have a diagram of what the polarity should be where it plugs in? You will need to look close.
90% of the time the center is+ and the outer is - its safer that way, its much harder to short the center to ground as it is not exposed like the outside.

I've looked all over the monitor and the voltages are not indicated.  Would it be a safe guess that it's +>-?

Hello.  Sorry for the delay.  I have e-mailed Cornea again.  Because they have an 800 number, I'll try calling them tomorrow.

Conrea replied and told me to go to www.moniserv.com, where I found the adapter.  Thank you very much!
