Fatal Exception when getting files

I get a fatal exception when getting files from my website... i am not experienced in wed design...yet... i set up the ftp for the site... then hit the get files button... the download starts and then... mortal combat... fatality.  what to do... what to do... well i set the site up through 1&1 using their templates... i wanted to edit it through dreamweaver, but it doesn't like it... i read on the net it might be because of some css styles or something... any help would be appreciated.  thanx.

OK, so did you actually download the file?
Doesne t sound like it.

Dont know why DW doesnt like the file? But you could also use some FTP program like WSFTP and get the file, THEN try to open it useing DW.  Or if you know the address of the template you are trying to Download, just type it into the browser and it should download for you.

Once you get it to your machine, then you should easy be able to tell what the problems are.  you can view the code useing notepad or other and see what is going on in the HTML.
