Win2k Disabling Roaming profile when shift is held at login

Hi, i was just interested to know whether it was possible to disable a roaming profile from being loaded, if say, SHIFT was held down immediately after hitting ENTER (after filling in: username, password and domain) ??

Scenario:

JoanY - user

JoanY boots up a computer at a different site than her normal desk. But JoanY has 3GB of roaming profile. She is now on a slower computer that would take forever to load her RP. She wants just her permissions (Active Directory Group Permissions that enable her to access Drives, internet etc etc).

JoanY wants to able to hold down SHIFT immediately after entering her login details that log her into the network, effectively disabling her roaming profile from being loaded.

Me - confused IT guy

Would like to know how i would go about achieving JoanY's request.

Thank you in advance.

never heard of pressing shift to disable roaming profile loading... but maybe someone know how to do that...

what you can do, is create another account for her with the same permissions that she has now.... that would save a lot of time when she logs on to other systems....

another option is to use folder redirection.... most of the times what makes profiles so big is the my documents folder.... you can redirect her my documents folder do another location other then where her profile is stored.... basically it would be like a home directory where she could always retrieve her documents but it's not downloaded with her roaming profile.....
you could make a group just for her... add her account.... then set folder redirection for that group.....

other things to do is to clean up her profile to make it smaller.... delete temp internet files, unused files, etc.....

pressing the shift key, i believe, only disables programs in the startup folder....
