which webcam supports Linux

Hello all,
            I want to buy a Webcam which supports linux..
as i search in google i had known philps supports....
I want Webcam  with following features in Linux ::
1)source code of drivers(if possible sampe appl)
2)webcam which will give .mpeg format i.e compressed one (instead of .avi)
                Please can anybody send the list of webcam's with above features..
   Note: which can avialable in India
