OWA 2003 requires user to login when logging out or following a URL

We are running a 2003 Exchange server with OWA. When a user clicks the "log out" button or tries to follow a url in an email they are prompted to log in to OWA again. If they log in again then they will receive the OWA "close" page or the URL that they clicked on.

We are using basic authentication and not the forms based.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

Do all users have this problem?? I know that to use OWA good, you would need to have at least Windows 2000 and IE 6.0. We also use OWA 2003 with 98 and 95 clients. They always have to enter their password. So if this is true, you would need to upgrade all the pc's that are not 2000.

I resolved the problem a few minutes ago, the problem was the security setting on the BIN virtual directory for the web server. It needs to have the domain set to the same setting at the exchweb web directory at the higher level. Since the web server was not passing the virtual directory the domain info it was asking everyone to log back in again.

Thanks for your help though.
