Wierd DNS issue
Hi all,
Upon booting up PDC the dns records, that we're pulling off the master DNS in LA gets deleted. We're running DNS on our PDC and BDC but as a secondary zone DNS. The DNS doesn't get deleted when we reboot the BDC but it does with PDC. Has anyone had this problem before?
thanks

Hi,
Unfortunately that's how it is set up at the moment. We can't set the zone on PDC as a primary or AD integrated at all. According to MS, you can't do that in win2k server but this can be done in win2003 server.
thanks

It sounds like the zone on the PDC is set up as a primary or AD integrated with no records in it.
Delete the zone off the PDC and reset it up as another secondary with the LA Server as the source of the records
