Active Directory - Windows Server 2000 error "There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper"

This occurs when I try and force replication between my domain servers. I am not getting any active directory replication from my main DC to any other DC's or member servers.

I have followed the white paper that states to remove DNS and re-add it. There seems to be a deep level issue within AD and if you are going to recommend any MS white papers most likely you will be wasting your time.

If someone can figure this out then you deserve the 500 pointss but I'll warn you it will most likely take multiple steps and/or attempts.

Thanks in advance!!!

tried all it said except to verify ALL the ports were blocked. Used the portqry tool from DC02 to hit DC01-udp-135 and it was fine.  No problems accessing the event viewer.

The other links are NT specific and don’t seem to apply…

Thanks,
Matt
where the DC or the servers disconnected from the network for long?
and what is the error code in the event viewer? is it 1753?

Added info: It seems to be isolated to my DC01 DC02 can replicate out information such as the addition of a new account. Nothing created or changed on DC01 ever propigates to the rest of my dc's.

Uggg Help!!!

what did you do?

To be honest I don't know what ended up triggering it. I isolated the issue to dc01 and then I changed roles over to dc02 I also changed the transport type for my ntds settings to smtp from rpc as the issue definitely seemed to revolve around rpc . As of about 10 last night replication was working without any problems from every server...I'm still very nervous about what the cause is and won't be surprised if it crops up again but for now I'm golden for now.
