Codescripter asked

I am looking at motherboards to purchase, and I want to connect 2 SATA hard drives with RAID striping.

My question is:
What is the difference between a motherboard that says,
"Onboard SATA/RAID: 2x Serial ATA 150, RAID 0/1" (example: ABIT AN7)
and a motherboard that says,
"2 x Serial ATA with RAID 0, 1 function" (example: ASUS A7V600)

Do they both have the same functionality as far as RAID striping is concerned?
