How to list currently runing processes and memory usage

Hello all,
I am not sure that this is the correct place to ask this question. Since I am looking for a method that will work on Win98, WinNT, WinMe, WIn2K and WinXP I hope it is ok to ask it here.
I am using a test automation tool ("WinRunner" in this case) for my application tests. WinRunner can interact with the OS through API and DOS shell commands. How can I get a list of the currently running processes from, without having to use the task manager GUI for this. Maybe through an API function or maybe through a DOS command and then redirect the output to a file and then parse it.
What I need is actually the name of the process, the process ID,  and the memory consumption. Sort of like a snapshot at a given time.
