HP jet direct 300x won't recognize printer. How to upgrade firmware?

We have a brand new HP Laserjet 2300 printer hooked up to a HP jet direct 300x with 3 ports on it.

When I use the HP install wizard, it recognizes the HP laserjet 2300 as a Sentronic Plotter printer. I guess that's why our LJ2300 refuses to print properly because it's a newer printer on an older Jet Direct.

So I guess the question is, how do I upgrade this older jet direct to recognize my new LJ2300 printer

I thought firmware upgrades wouldn't matter on which OS i'm using. But the printer server is a Windows 2003 machine.
Ignore first posted link It was for Jetadmin which is discontinued it was replaced by Web Jetadmin. Nice easy console interface and a great FREE tool to manage your HP printers and print servers.
It only matter on the interface you will be using to update the firmware? Any PC on the network will do.
Your right. I installed the Jetadmin on a WIN2k3 server and updated the firmware. Easy as pie as everything is all selected for you. After the firmware upgrade to the HP Jetdirect, our HP Laserjet2300 shows up correctly and prints correctly. 500 points for you.
Glad I coluld help!!
