Crystal Report giving this error: "Query engine error: '22018:[microsoft][odbc sql server driver][sql server]syntax error converting the nvarchar value '%' to a column of data type int'"

When I enter my parameters (in Crystal Report 9) to connect to the Stored Procedure (I'm using SQL 2000 DB) I get the following error -

"Query engine error: '22018:[microsoft][odbc sql server driver][sql server]syntax error converting the nvarchar value '%' to a column of data type int.'"

This occurs when I try to add the Stored Procedure as a data source  ie it has nothing to do with anything I have tried to set up in the Report

Actually in the beginning there is no problem, but once i added another variable in the same Stored Procedure of type Varchar, and I tried to Update with the modified Stored Procedure in Crystal Report 9 , then it giving above error!!!

Can anyone help?

I am running the same values i enter in Crystal Report into Query Analyser and it runs fine - is this an issue with CR9?

Thanks,
