Runtime error 20997

I have create a VB program and using OCX to open a crystal report. 2 clients installed the program on their win2000 workstation. One of them works fine but another has error 20997.

Could you tell me what's happen? The crystal report is very simple, Just show all fields from a table on SQL Server, without OLE, Subreports.

Any idea?

The crystal report come with Visual basic 5.0. I believe it is version 4.5.

Here is the code:
With CrystalReport1
.ReportFileName = <Share folder>
.Destination = crptToWindow
.Action = 1
End With

I use the same Domain user to logon 2 different workstations. But one is ok, another one is not.

I doubled check the share folder and also mapped to that. There is no improvement.
OLE2 files may need to be registered. To register OLE2 files go to Start | Run, and enter:

If registration was successful the following message will appear:

Information in C:\windows\system\ole2.reg was successfully entered into the registry.

The report being previewed contained a chart, which depends upon the charting dll, "Sscsdk32.dll" and was not being distributed with the application. Once this dll was copied to the system directory of the client, the report previewed successfully.

What O/S?

O/S is win2000 workstation sp4.

The report contains not chart and i can't find Ole.reg files in winnt directory.

I suspect it is a compatability issue between VB5, CR4.5, and Win 2K.

CR4.5 has never been tested against Win 2K.  I am not sure bout VB5.
