Java Program to communicate with MQSeries Server without using MQSeries client.

Hello,

I want to write a Java Program that should communicate with MQSeries server. Can I do it with using only JMS and not using MQSeries Client.

I will appreciate if some one has sample code.

Hi,
No, it's not must to use JMS when connecting to MQSeries from a java class.
To connect to MQSeries as a java client you need to do:
1. define Q manager.
2. define Q.
3. define MQ CHANNEL with chltype(SVRCONN). very importent for connection as a client through tcp connection

after define all 3 points start the listener by typing:
runmqlsr -t tcp [-m QMNAME] -p 1414

Now, in the java programm you need to create instance of mqmanager and set mqenvironment properties.
