Procom NetForce 1700 Need to reset to factory defaults (recover Password) Help!!!!!

Hi

I just got a Procom NetForce 1700 and the password wasnt cleared before I bought it. Any one have any idea how to reset the unit?

Hi,


As far as I know, NAS boxes as quite similar to a normal computer... just a little customized, so just clear it as a normal computer...
So, if you are talking about the BIOS password, just take a look on the mbd model and check it out on the manufacturer site..

If this is for the Windows password -> in this case, just re-image it... you should have all steps with the NAS documentation. Most of the time, you just need to swap (or disconnect) some drives and wait..
