DVD ripping library and/or api solution

Wondering if anyone knows of Windows compatible DVD ripping libraries or how to do this with api?

There is allot I do not understand about this subject. First question that comes to mind is how do you rip a dvd into some other format that can be contained on CD type disk.

Any and all comments apreciated.

Hmm, http://www.doom9.org/ would be a good place to start.

If the DVD is not CSS protected (and to everything else, you will not get an answer here), a simple

CopyFile ( "d:\\video_ts\\vts_0x_yz.vob", "c:\\destdir");

will do. After that, you'll go through the packetized stream and remove anything that is not NPEG or audio data. For more info, see http://www.mpucoder.com/DVD/

I need a to read up on the basics before I can understand the link you posted.
Know of any links like that?

Also forgot to mention that I intend to add burning capability.

Thanks much!

Will dig into my bookmarks, I am sure there is something...

IMAPI or the NeroAPI, can deal with that, too, at least for the latter I am a 100% sure.

Thanks!

I forgotten that you had already gave me links to the IMAPI and NeroAPI.

I take it also that the best choice between IMAPI and NeroAPI is that IMAPI has no adware/spyware on it.
