Accessing internal & External website with same domain name ???? urgent

Dear friends ..

I am using windows 2000 Server SP4, We dont have internet access to our users upto one week back. We have an intranet Local website ( Consider www.company.com ) for all company documentation..  and we have an internet website with the same name.. ie.. www.company.com.

Now we provide an internet connection to some users using ISA server 2000. When i type on users browser after setting up the proxy server to that browser www.company.com , it is giving blank page..
My question " is there any solution for me to access local website as well as internet website with same name.. i set "By pass proxy server for local addresses" in the browser settings.
Still i am not getting any solution for that.. please help in this problem..

 Thanks in advance..

No there isn't.

If you want those people to be able to access both websites, it is better to rename the intranet website. For instance to intranet.company.com.

The reason is that you have EXACTLY the same name for those websites. Internally it should resolve to the intranet website, and externally it should resolve to the Internet website. There is no way to make the DNS server understand that one of these is meant to be internally and the other one not. A DNS server will only give a resolution for one of the IP addresses.

The best thing to do is:
1. Create a static entry in your DNS database called intranet.company.com and point that to your intranet website's IP address.
2. Create another static entry in your DNS database called www.company.com and point that to your Internet website's IP address.
3. Remove any www.company.com addresses that point to the intranet website.
4. Tell all your users to use intranet.company.com if they want to go to the intranet website.
