Creating My Own Custom IE Toolbar

Hey, hopefully someone can help me on this. I need to create my own IE toolbar that goes up on the top of your IE window, just like the google toolbar. I've looked on google for how to make my own IE toolbar, and the two examples I found wouldn't work. If anyone could help me on this I would gladly award extra points =D. Thanks!

I have tried the same last month and couldn't figure it out. I searched everywhere for samples without any luck.
Even with creating BHO's ( Browser Helper Object's ) you need an external DLL ( c++ ) that exposes the the IObjectsWithSite Interface.

With plain VB you can't make explorer bars ( not without the use of C++ or ATL classes ) . Since i'm not familiar with these languages i gave up.

If you are going to make simple explorer bars then you could also use a program that does it for you like Toolbar Studio.

YES!!!!! Thank you Shauli! I'm not exactly entirely finished with my own bar, but using that webpage you gave me, I got one of the example VB toolbar projects to work :D. That example seemed to be missing some needed registry data to make it show up as available in internet explorer. BTW, aelatik if and when I do finish this, ill send you the results so you can make your own =D.

Cheers!

P.S. I'll award the points when I finish in a few days :D
