Huge temp files in c:\winnt\temp
Hi,
Some of our Windows 2000 Server and Professional systems have been accumulating huge temporary files in the c:\winnt\temp folder. The files can get as large as 8GB , however they seem to disappear after some random amount of time (can be hours or days). Some examples of file names are:
GLC1D11.tmp
GLC817F.tmp
GLF1D18.tmp
GLF8196.tmp
GLF8197.tmp
GLF8198.tmp
The recurring theme is that they are GL*****.tmp . I have also seen them with ~ in the filename. I think they are related to SMS (we use SMS 2.0 on our network) software scans. Does anyone know how we can stop the files accumulating?
Thanks
S
