"A required privilege is not held by the client" when activating Hybernate
Hi,
I have a user (win2K,Sp3) using a dell D600, whose getting the following error when he tries to enable hibernation.
"A required privilege is not held by the client"
He can change the Power Settings, but gets this error only when he enables Hibernation.
Any ideas why???

No he is not.
But other users have no problem activating Hibernation , even though they are not part of the Backup operators.
Any way I will try that.

Do those other users have advanced rights on those machines or in the domain?
ASKER
No

Hi,
The solution is that you have to first enable hibernate from the Administrator profile. then users can enable hibernate from their profiel.
Thanks
