Hi Experts,

I have to get the link popularity from different search engine.  So i am grasping the link popularity from different search engine using file function.

The different search engine i am grasping be:
Altavista: file('http://www.altavista.com/web/results?q=link%3Awww.google.com&kgs=0&kls=1&avkw=qtrp')

google: file('http://www.google.com/search?as_lq=www.google.com&btnG=Search')

lycos: file('http://search.lycos.com/default.asp?loc=searchbox&query=linkdomain%3Awww.google.com')

first i have tested with one site and uploaded into another site, the problem i faced with both server be
Tested Server                                        Upload Server
Altavista - Working                                  Altavista - Working
Google - Working                                    Google - Warning Message
Lycos - Warning Message                        Lycos - Warning Message

Can any help why this is happening

Hi Experts

I have got the solution, the old server php version is 4.3.4 and the new one is 4.2.2.  Some site will not be read in older version.

I am reading a remote file using file() function and i have changed to fsockopen() function and its working fine now.

Thanks Squinky for your reply
