MOTHERBOARD msi 6701

 I have a motherboard ms-6701 but i cant find nothing about it on msi site.

i would like to know what max processor could i put in the motherboard ?

It looks like it uses the P4b cpu, which has a 533FSB.  That would mean 3.066GHz is your maximum.  If it had a 800FSB, you could put a 3.4GHz cpu in there, but I couldn't get that info.

thats what i was thinking too.  3.06ghz hyper threading 533mhz ..  i cant seam to find much info on it where did u get your info from?

I looked at the links in a Google search for ms-6701 and saw cpus that were rated for 533FSB.  Other links seem to confirm your suspicion of SIS648 chipset and microATX form factor (3 PCI plus 1 AGP).

I have tested this mobo with a 2.4GHz at 800 but it detects a 1.2GHz at 200.
It's impossible to change the FSB speed in the bios!

its fsb is 400 or 533 depending on chip not work with 2.4ghz 800fsb which is 200 fsb *4 = 800mhz hense it thinks its 100fsb*4 = 400fsb and speed is 1.2ghz as pentium 4's are quad pumped

fsb can be changed with a program called coolcpu .. there is a unofficial bios update available for this motherboard from some german guy  but i have not installed it .
