I use a product from informatik for automated 'tiff spliting'. There is a cost, but it's fairly cheap - much cheaper than spending the time trynig to do it yourself !<br />

I spent quite a long time looking at doing this last year using VB, and ended up buying the above product !. <br />
<br />
I'm sure it's possible, but I think you could end up spending a lot of time / effort without achieving the end result.<br />
