Vanishing mail from inbox to deleted folder

I have Microsoft Outlook 2003 on my computer.  It is a client for our Microsoft exchange server.  I also have a Macintosh on my desk which has Entourage as a client.  I get my e-mail from my POP address into my Outlook, but even that is stored in the server.  Entourage also retrieves my POP e-mail.  Many times I see a good e-mail come into my in-box of outlook, then stay there for a minute or two.  Then as I am watching, it disappears.  I search for it and find it in the deleted files.  However, at the same time I see it in my Entourage in-box.  There must be something telling my outlook to put it in the deleted folder.  What is that?  I used to have the iHateSpam plug-in to filter e-mails.  I have uninstalled it completely to see if the phenomenon continues.  It still continues.  Where should I look now?  Please help.

Hi.

Have you tried checking the client rules that you have set up? (If any).

It's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.

Just click on the "Rules and Alerts" button at the top of the screen. Maybe your "I hate spam" plug-in set up rules for you.

Thanks,
Jimme

Entourage POP setting is probably set to delete mail from the server after downloading.

I tried Rules and alert to no avail. There is nothing there.
Entourage's POP setting are to leave mail on the server. I do not have problem with Entourage. It gets all the POP mail as well as exchange server mails and leaves copies.
It is the Outlook 2003 which gobbles them and drops them in deleted folder.
Should I reinstall Outlook?
