Winsocket errors trying to connect to to server

It appears some of my computer settings have got corrupted

Is there any free software that I can download to fix errors within the pc, ie have tried bug doctor but in order to restore / fix the problem you have to pay ?

Is there a complete free utility

Hi Stewart_HendersonNO1,

If you're talking about winsock errors these tools might help you:

For winNT/2k/XP/2k3 => http://www.spychecker.com/download/download_winsockxpfix.html
For win98/ME => http://www.bu.edu/pcsc/internetaccess/winsock2fix.html
