I am trying to connect to a SUN v100 server using Tera term and when I connect I get an ok instead of the solaris system prompt. I can boot the box and get the box back but when I remove the cable I have the same issue the next time I go back into it.

How can I reconect using tera term to the sun box without having to reboot the server.

Thanks

If I remember correctly, the issue is that Sun systems, by default, automatically go to the boot monitor if the console is physically disconnected.

There is a good discussion of how to handle this at http://sysunconfig.net/unixtips/alternate_break_sequence.txt and also at http://www.burgettsys.com/stories/37815/
