Hi everyone.
I've installed MSDE 2000 SP2 with no problem.
Then I needed to install a second instance.
I changed the .INI file and created a line with INSTANCENAME=LP6
MSDE started to install then at the end it starts to roll back and nothing is installed.
What am I doing wrong ??
I've installed MSDE 2nd instance in the past and had no problem.
What is hapening now ????

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but what ???????

Thank you

To install another instance of MSDE you'll have to run the MSDE setup.exe with the [INSTANCENAME="InstanceName"] parameter to create a named instance of MSDE.

You can do this at the command
line when installing MSDE:

c:\setup.exe INSTANCENAME=MyInstance
