"Error 22528: [SQL-DMO]" SQL Server Connection Broken
I have installed SQL server 2000 on my laptop (local). When I use Enterprise Manager to open the server I get the error message:
"Error 22528: [SQL-DMO]This server connection has been unexpectedly broken and cannot be reconnected".
Service Manager starts the server fine and VB6 applications have full access to the databases?
Connection to another SQL server goes without any problems.
Tried Uninstalling, clearing out the registry and reinstalling.
What is happening???
Running XP Professional.

Weird. Have you had the 120 trial version on this laptop? If so, perhaps you missed something in the registry.

No, only the full Developers SQL Server Installation has been carried out. Further information, when I try to install SP3 I get through to the part of the install when 11 scripts have to run. Then it also fails..
Managed to workaround for now by using my desktop as a server (new installation of SQL server went without a problem) so problem is not urgent. Enetrprise Manage from the laptop connect to the desktop without problems.
