Modem not accepting data

Hello,
      I installed two internal modems in my system.  One of them is US Robotics and the other is Conexant.  The US Robotics is on com4 while Conexant is on com3.  The US Robotics is working fine by receiving and sending response back fine.  But the Conexant internal modem is not receiving data even though it connects.
     And I installed two US Robotics internal modems and noticed that they can not work simultaneously.
     Please how can I make the Conexant modem work while the US Robotics is working.  Also how can make use of two US Robotics internal modems work simultaneously.

Conextant use slightly different AT comands.

Two USR modems will obviously use similiar AT commands.
