Visual Studio Web Setup Project Virtual Directory Configuration

I hope this is the right forum to place this question:

I am setting up a Web Setup Project from Visual Studio .Net and I am trying to figure out these problems:

1) Is there a way to create the Web Setup Project so that it gives the user the option to install the files/virtual directory on a remote IIS Server?

2) Is there a way within the Web Setup Project to control the Virtual Directory properties, such as ASP Script Timeout, Documents, and Directory Security?

Thanks!

I don't have any experience here, but I searched out on http://groups.google.com and found a number of references which say that the deployment project in .net is really lightweight and in order to modify virtual directories, etc, you need to customize the installer to query the IIS metabase and then use IIS commands to setup the server the way you like - i.e., doesn't look to be as easy as selecting web deployment project.

check out this article

then search for .net web deployment for more info
