first what operating system are you running?

If XP/2000 (do this on both computers)
1. goto Start -> Run
2. type "cmd" without the quotes and press enter
3. A dos command prompt windows should pop-up.
4. type "ipconfig" without the quotes and press enter
5. make note of the IP Address field
6. type "ping " the ip address of the other computer
      ie: ping 192.168.1.1
7. if you get a reply then the connection to your network is good

Try that first.

hmm its giving me some weird stuff here...

ok so i have 2 comps in "network" (thats not working) one ip is 192.168.0.2 other 192.168.0.3

192.168.0.3 is connected directly to cable modem and when i " ping 192.168.0.3 " it works ok when i " ping 192.168.0.2 " on that same comp it doesnt work

the other one ,192.168.0.2, is connected thro wireless router and on that one i can't ping any one of them

now im realy confused here.....i hope ur not....
