One minute i'm creating a rule, run it, then exit out of MS Outlook Profile, enter into another MS Outlook Profile I have to test the rule, go back into the original Profile I created the Rule in, click on Tools and Poof the "Rules Wizard" is no longer listed there.  I went to Tools>Customize and clicked on the "Reset" button, but this didn't help.  I also closed down Outlook completely and re-opened it, this didn't help.  Any suggestions...

Hi itsmevic,

Does it happen when you change outlook profile back and forth ?

When you go back to original profile , you are saying Rules wizard is not there. At that point , what happens when you go back to the second profile. Is the rules wizard found there or lost there also

Have you tried to recreate the original profile by removing it and creating it again to see if that would help ?

Is your outlook connected to exchange and what version of outlook you have ?

Is your outlook fully updated. If not go to http://officeupdate.microsoft.com to get the latest updates

If creating profiles doesnot help, try to do "Detect and repair" going to help menu.

If that doesnot help check this http:Q_20247703.html

If that also doesnot assist , I am afraid you would have to reinstall and install the entire outlook package and then check

Outlook 2002, We are on an Exchange Server.

Tried to update Outlook to SP3 and it's telling me that the Installation was unsuccessful, whatever that was about....

Yes this happens in both profiles, there is no Rules Wizard in the Tools drop-down.  I've even tried to run a Detect and Repair from the Help Menu.  This didn't help.

I haven't tried recreating another profile yet, what a whip that would be but wasn't going to rule that out...It was just sort of a last resort type of thing that's all.  I did notice something, when i created the rule and exited Profile 1 and went into Profile 2, when I clicked on the Send and Receive button Outlook crashed.  I then re-opened it, went back into Profile 1 and that's when I noticed the Rules Wizard was gone...I'm not really sure what happen to be honest with you, a hiccup or some thing but everything else is fine. ~ Vic

corrupted profile is a very common issue that I am seeing daily. You may want to try that to see if that would solve the issue. Before deleting and recreating a new profile make sure to backup all outlook data.

Now not sure why SP3 has not been successfully installed. Wondering where is the issue..
You may want to repair or reinstall office for that.. But before let us see if creating a new profile would help

I was able to restore "Run Rule" in the Toolbar no problems and it produced the rule but only the Run section where one could checkmark their rule then click the "Run Now" button.  I can't seem to find a way to get into the Rule to Modify it, because the Rules Wizard wasn't listed in the Customize>Command>Tools section list...very weird....
