I had the following problem in outlook express.

An unknown error has occurred. Protocol: SMTP, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800C0131

Sunray gave me a solution which worked. However this problem is back.
When I try to use the solution i get a message that folder.old already exists.

Well you can remove folders.old cos it has been used a backup .

Rename folders.dbx as folders.old after deleting the present folders.old and check how it goes..

You need to update your OE with the latest update and problem continues have to reinstall OE

What OS you have got ?

BTW, Sunray is here .. all the time
