"Unable to find the plugin that handles this media type. Dreamweaver looks both in the Configuration/Plugins folder, and the plugins folder for each of your installed browsers."

I am using Dreamweaver MX, Windows XP.

The best way to play an mp3 from your page is to call it from a Flash file and embed the flash file in your page.  The flash file doesn't have to be more than a couple of pixels square if you don't want it to show.

If you don't want to use Flash then convert the file to a .wma file.  It will stream from the page like you want.
