I am having problems with my mack crashing very often. We are cleaning it up but need to get it running smoothly again. Could you give me some tips on how to increase performance and any common ways to reduce the burdon on the memory. The Memory seems to be part of the problem, as in it is basicaly maxed out with out anything open. Is there a way to adjust the memory settings and/or the amout of stuff running in the background, thanks - Ben

To clean up OS 9, just reinstall the OS. It's not worth the time to try to get it all back to a clean state. Give yourself a fresh OS and start from scratch. Then open the Extension Manager and turn off anything you dont need, like Personal Web Sharing, etc. That will lessen the memory burden somewhat.
