Hello Everyone,
   I have Outlook 2003
Under All My Folders.. I have one folder that reads MSN
When I right click the folder it provides me with the option to close the MSN folder.
However, when I select close.. I get an error message:

The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem presist restart Outlook.
I have restarted.. outlook however, that folder remains..

When I also go the E Mail Accounts... the MSN folder does not show up on the list?

So I have runned a repair.. on Outlook... but that MSN folder remains....
Any suggestions on what I can do to have this removed from Outlook.. Folder list?

Thank You

Tony ,

Couple of things

a) Have you emptied the deleted items folder in your contact. Try to empty it and then check to see if you can delete MSN folder.

b) Is your outlook connected to Exchange server ?  Other reason could be Anti-virus scanner on your exchange server.

If you absolutely donot want that folder , then press SHIFT and then delete that folder so that it is bypassed to direct deletion without going into deleted items folder.

Also did you download hotmail account messages to outlook ?

Well...   I deleted all the MSN accounts
            I rebooted....
then  selected the File.... and deleted...

It was a weird file.... I never created the file...
But it came with that MSN Outlook Connector
