There is the Web Browser control -- check the "Microsoft Internet Controls" component. A little globe appears in the toolbox; this is basically an Internet Explorer browser that you can customize however you need to.

Does the control need to edit HTML like HTML Area does, or do you want a component that offers the same editing features but handles rich text, Word, or some other format?  If so, then here are some possibilities.

http://www.freevbcode.com/ShowCode.asp?ID=2355  (Full-featured RTF editor)
http://www.codearchive.com/list.php?go=0223  (Several RTF related editing routines)
http://www.textcontrol.com/products/activex/  (Commercial component)
