Have you loaded the new drivers for your video card?  Go to the manufacturers website, download them, and run the install (setup) program..

If you do not know what your video card is, you will need a utility to find out...  Belarc is a quick way, Aida32 is better, but the site has been down for a while...

Belarc can be downloaded here:  http://www.snapfiles.com/php/download.php?id=100564

One more thing..  if the video is Onboard, meaning built into the motherboard, then go to IBM's site for the motherboard drivers..  the video driver should be there..

Yea.. driverguide will have them, but I am concerned since it is IBM..  it is also a hassle finding the right ones sometimes..  But if you want to try driverguide, the logon is:  username = drivers, pw = all

:)  If I can find a copy of Aida32, I will post..  you can also use your MS System Information utility to find your devices..

Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information

Then drill down to:  Components > Display

Aida32 was recently purchased by lavalys.  (Actually, they hired the gentleman who wrote Aida32..)  You can dnload the free version of their inventory tool here:

I have a feeling that you will need to go to the IBM site to get the correct drivers..  Is the video onboard..??  you can ck if you look at the back of your computer..  if the video out is a horizontal slot, then it is onboard.. if vertical, then it is a card, probably AGP..

If it is onboard, then you will need the drivers for the motherboard off the IBM site..
