what is persistence meaning in the entity bean?

i have the following:the process of coordinating the data represented by a bean instance with the DB is called the
persistence.

that is correct ... when the EJB "persists" something, it is storing it back to the Database.

how about the other way around, it call persists too?

i mean load the data to the bean?

Yeah.  Actually, it's all one step.  ejbLoad() and ejbStore() are the persistence methods.  They are always called together.  That step of making sure the bean is in line with the datasource is called persistence.
